Arleigh loves chasing a ball, and for a 7 year old dog, he still has some great speed and focus. I wanted to capture his motion in some stop action photos. It's amazing that his legs don't get tangled and trip him up.

We celebrated Triple H's 8th birthday with a trip to the park. After tossing the ball for about a half hour to tire them out, I attempted to position all four for a birthday portrait. Of course, the only one looking at me is Arleigh, who rarely takes his eyes off of me.

Dazzle's First Swim
May 28, 2006 — Canandaigua, NY

Well it wasn't exactly planned. Dazzle was keeping a prudent distance from the waves. But some horseplay on the dock resulted in a hip check by Monty, and Dazzle flew off the side into the water. She swam a powerful doggy paddle until I reached and grabbed her. A wet Dazzle is a tiny Dazzle!

Welcome to the new kid on the block. Dazzle, a Havanese, was born on November 18, 2005. Carole, Dylan and Darian brought her home on Wednesday February 1, 2006!

Named Monterey for CG-61, the USS Monterey, the first Aegis cruiser I worked on. He was brought home Sunday, June 19th from Waynewood Farms in Elma, NY. From a litter of 9 (5 males, 4 females).

Born April 28, 2005. Father: Seamus. Mother: Dolly.

Aegis 10.

Named for the Aegis Weapon System. I spent four years creating real-time animations of Aegis Weapon System missile fire test scenarios for a naval defense contractor. Seemed like a good name for a dog, but at first a lot of people called him Regis. Son of Pyrite and Cassie.

Aegis was born June 14, 1994 and died April 2, 2005. He will always be remembered and loved.

Named for Admiral Arleigh Burke. DDG 51, the USS Arleigh Burke, was the first Aegis destroyer.

Arleigh was born May 23, 2000. Son of Drifter and Reyna.
